Travertine Technologies has secured $8.5 million in funding for its electrochemical process that converts sulfate-based mining waste into sulfuric acid and green hydrogen. The technology, which also sequesters carbon dioxide into mineral components, aims to enable carbon-negative and zero-waste operations for industries including mining, fertilizer production, and cement manufacturing.
